Further to my previous comment i think glenrothes is a depressing town and certainly would not under any circumstances want to work there and would rather sign off benefit than work in glenrothes further to this i would also be worse off working in glenrothes as i would have to pay bus fares which are around £30 PER WEEK for a 7 day ticket and with the goverment raising fuel prices how long before the bus ticket reaches £40 yes i have a car but why A) should i use it to travel to glenrothes despite averaging 43mpg (n reg 1.4 injection engine) putting wear and tear on the vehicle and besides which am not covered by my insurance to travel to and from my permanent place of work and for an employment advisor to insist i use the car is therefore in theory forcing me to break the law rendering me to possible prosecution for no insurance points on my licence seizure of my car and both difficulty getting employment which involves driving and rendering my 10 years no claim bonus null and void all because of a crap yes crap bottom end of the jobs market job in glenrothes the job centre in the past has selected a job in glenrothes which they insisted i applied for when at the same time there was a job paying a higher rate per hour here in cupar and the ea got quite uppity when told i had applied for the cupar job so what does that tell you about the jobcentre staff ?
any comments on experience of signing on at glenrothes job centre anyone?A

I was told constantly by the jobcentre when i was unfortunate enough to be unemployed that i had to consider jobs in glenrothes unfortunately the jobs "SELECTED" by the jobcentre were A totally unsuitable(i had no skills for the job selected B one of the jobs was temporary but the employment advisor wouldnt tell me how temporary or where about in glenrothes the job was C two of the jobs involved working both saturday and sunday but i had to rely on the bus to get ther from cupar D why should i work in a job outwith cupar when there were plenty unemployed in glenrothes more suited to the job?
i am also curious as to whether glenrothes job centre were telling local claimants to apply for jobs in cupar

I'm sad. I want Labour out but not the Tories in.

Hobson's Choice at the moment but let's hope people don't swallow all this stuff about needing cuts - although we do - but we get someone to run this country who understands more than one thing at a time.

How very well said.Now she deserves all she gets.Its nothing but plain greed.The more they have the more they want.Even worse they all thought they were entitled to do it.A perk of the job.Well tough sh*t Kitty you were rumbled like all the other thieving liars.No one party is any better than the other,they are all as bad.How many accidents have occured,and suddenly these people want to spend time with their kids.Not while the going was good they didnt did they.Why cant she just say i am sorry i was stupid and now i must pay the price.Obviously she wont be forgiven but she would be able to walk away knowing she had come clean,All she has done is made herself even more of a liar.No one believes that crapp excuse.Pity the kids didnt come before the pot.

Did anyone stop to think that staging this on a rain-slicked street might be a bad idea? Heads should roll at City Hall, but I can hear caring Mayor Mike now: "Accidents happen. Get over it." The problem is that this wasn't an accident, unless you count it as an accident waiting to happen.

I've always voted with a pencil. Maybe the ink ran out.

I am all in favour of electronic voting but the party leaders can't think beyond gimmicks so probably will stick with the current system until we can get some that don't blatantly fiddle their mortgages and can be trusted to sort out a system that is a genuine attempt to make voting more secure.

Your ballot paper should be safe, but sadly given what I wrote earlier about postal voting I'm no longer that confident about it. I would personally ALWAYS vote by hand rather than use a postal vote - it might not get counted otherwise.

I wonder if anyone can explain this: I didn't get the chance to vote till around 4pm yesterday..Ok..several of my colleagues have told me they used a black ink pen to put their cross on the yellow paper.This was early morning..granted. But when I arrived at my polling station,around 4pm the black ink pens had turned into a pencil!
I wonder if this was because the ballot papers marked in pencil could be erased by unscrupulous persons. Thefore making the ballot paper null and void!. It makes me wonder.

Saying they're going to go at the next election just isn't good enough - most know they would be turfed out then anyhow. I want to see a queue of MPs applying this week for the vacant post of Crown Steward and Bailiff of the Chiltern Hundreds so we can have a by-election or 10.
